Your Industries
Protect Local Supply / Sell Only Clear Surplus
Ale / Mead / Cider
Required beverage supply for Level 2+ burgages. Generally keep local.
Shoes / Clothes
Important town-supply goods. Export only a clear surplus.
Fuel
Homes and multiple production buildings consume it. Export conservatively.
Food
Can be a good early surplus trade when spoilage is likely, but food becomes more valuable locally as the town grows.
Best Export Rankings
Net Trade Value compares what an item sells for with the value of the materials used to make it. Raw resources use their sale price directly. Use the strategy guidance alongside the ranking because labor, fuel, town demand, and Trade Route access can change which export is best at a given stage. Pelts and Wax have no other current use, making excess stock good to sell even though they are not always included in the Best Exports ranking.
Origin Comparison
Origin rankings focus on effects that meaningfully change production, trade, or the selected industries.
Value Chains
Important: final sale price alone does not decide the recommendation. The useful comparison is the value of inputs you could have sold directly versus the value added by processing them, plus labor, town demand and Trade Route requirements.
Recipe & Trade Reference
Complete recipe reference from the shared planner data. Net Trade Value compares the finished batch's export value with the export value of its tradeable material inputs. Labor and fuel are not included.

Milk has no trade value, so the current Cheese calculation uses Salt as the sellable material opportunity cost. Origin export modifiers are applied using the same rules as Best Exports.
